Argentina is a wonderful country with many worthwhile places to see. Here is a brief overview of some of the top destinations to visit during your Argentina travel adventures.
Bariloche. Bariloche is located in Argentina’s Patagonia and is great place to experience rugged natural beauty and is a dream location for adventure seekers. Although the town itself is charming, most people come here for the surroundings, which include the snow-capped Cerro Catedral peak, the Nahuel Huapi National park, and Nahuel Haupi Lake.
Buenos Aires. The classic Argentina tour destination is Buenos Aires, the dynamic capital city. The city has a strong European influence, and its locals are very proud of their pretty city. While you’re here be sure to try a classic Argentina steak and enjoy a classic tango show. You’ll also want to take a Buenos Aires city tour to get all the highlights in, as it might be difficult to navigate everything yourself during a short amount of time.
Mendoza. Mendoza is for the wine lovers, but it also for the outdoor lovers, as you can take treks through the city’s lovely surroundings. The largest peak in western hemisphere, the Aconcagua Mountain, actually looms over the city. But of course, the best thing to do in this area is go on a wine tour across the vineyards.
Ushuaia. If you want to say you’ve been to a unique place, Ushuaia is the place to go. It is considered the southernmost city in the world, and is the last bit of civilization before the great Antarctica. The region has been inhabited by indigenous communities for centuries but wasn’t made into a city until the 19th century when European moved in. There are multiple outdoor activities in the Ushuaia area, as long as you bundle up. Visit Tierra del Fuego National Park where you can go trekking or skiing, or take a ride on the Train At The End Of The World, which offers breathtaking views of the region, even if it only takes you to the top of a mountain and back.
Iguazu. Iguazu Falls has some of the largest waterfalls in the world. This impressive site is a must see during any Argentina tour. The city of Iguazu is surrounded by jungle, which is kept super lush by the mist of the waterfalls. The falls are on the border of Argentina and Brazil, so if you want to, you could even hop over the border into Brazil and see the falls from the other side.
